Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) marked as an “Institute of National Importance” which imparts undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) medical training is a public university located in Pondicherry (India). It is also a residential working JIPMER Hospital which provides medical care facility to a large number of patients. JIPMER offers M.B.B.S., B.Sc., M.Sc., M.D. / M.S degree courses in 37 different disciplines along with selected super speciality, fellowship, PG Diploma and certificate programs. Admission to all the Courses offered by the University is done through the JIPMER Entrance Exam, conducted online across various centers in India. Full-time Ph.D. Programs are available in eight disciplines as on date.

JIPMER PG 2023 (INI CET) Open Round Seat Allotment has been released on 4th February 2023 for MD/ MS. Seat Allotment for Round 3 has been released on 21st January 2023 for INI SS. JIPMER PG admissions is offered through INI CET & INI SS exams. AIIMS conducts national level medical entrance tests known as INI CET & INI SS entrance test to offer admission into MD/ MS & DM/ M. Ch courses. Candidates must qualify INI CET & INI SS exam to get admission into 3 & 6 years PG medical courses in various AIIMS, JIPMER & other participating institutions. The exams are organised twice a year in two sessions – January session & July session. Application Form for January session has begun from 5th September 2022 (INI CET & SS). JIPMER MBBS Admission 2020:

JIPMER offers MBBS program for the duration of 4 years 6 months followed by the one-year compulsory internship with a total intake of 200 seats. Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-Technology with minimum 60% aggregate of marks. Admission to the MBBS course is done on the basis of JIPMER entrance examination. The application process, as well as the entrance examination, is conducted through online mode. Seats are reserved for OBC, ST, SC and NRI/ OCI category candidates as well as OPH candidates.
JIPMER application form can be filled through the official website within the stipulated time. The application fee for JIPMER is INR 1500 for General and OBC candidates whereas it is INR 1200 for SC and ST category students. JIPMER application form filling consists of 5 steps which include entering the candidate’s credentials, uploading signature and photo, submission of application form, payment of fees and generation of the final application for printout. OPH and P-OPH candidates are exempted from any application fee.

JIPMER MD/MS 2023 Admissions:

JIPMER Admissions to MD/MS program is done twice a year viz. January and July sessions. Call for applications are announced in the month of October and April every year. Online registration of applications can be done through JIPMER login ID from the official website.

In case of M.Sc programs, applications are invited once a year and JIPMER PG is conducted in the month of July. Academic session for the course is commenced during the first week of August.
