Jaypee Institute of Information Technology University (JIIT) Admission 2020: Application form, Important Dates

Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida was established in 2003 is an educational institute fully backed and supported by Jaypee Group of Companies. In the pursuit of its objective, JIIT currently offers B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and Ph.D. degrees.

The university has 6 departments- Biotechnology, Computer science & IT, Electronics & Communication, Mathematics,Physics & Material Science and Humanities & Social Science. All the courses offered by the university are full time. The university has its 5 campuses, namely:

1. Jaypee University, Anoopsar
2. Jaypee Institute of Technology, Noida
3. Jaypee Business School, Noida
4. Jaypee university of information Technology, Solan
5. Jaypee University of Engineering& Technology, Guna (M.P)

• Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary exam can apply for the UG courses, whereas the graduates can apply for the spectrum of PG courses at the university.
• Students who wish to seek admission to JIIT can apply through both offline and online modes.
• The admissions to B.Tech are based on the merit list by JIIT and admissions for the other courses are based on the entrance test and personal interview.

Admission Schedule 2020 (Tentative)

JIIT B.Tech Admission 2020

JIIT offers B.Tech courses for the duration of 4 years under 6 disciplines. The admissions will be both entrance and merit based. For the entrance based admissions, candidates will have to appear for JEE Mains. The candidates who score 60% marks in the qualifying exam are eligible to apply for the admission.

The students who apply for entrance through  JEE  have to appear for the counseling by the university. Students will not be admitted through the counseling under CBSE.

For the merit-based admissions, candidates will be informed about the counseling. The merit list will be available on the university’s website and also at the campus.

Candidates who fulfill the minimum educational eligibility criteria can apply through both online and offline mode.

• Candidates will be allowed to exercise the choice of only one university at the time of counseling.
• For Biotechnology and Bioinformatics,50% seats will be allotted through JEE Mains and the rest 50% will be allotted on 10+2 merit basis.
• 10% seats at JUIT Waknaghat will be reserved for the students of Himachal Pradesh.

JIIT M.Tech Admission 2020

JIIT provides Post graduate degree in the field of technology under 5 disciplines. Candidates who score valid GATE score can apply for the direct admissions.  University also conducts admissions based upon the Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET). The seats which will be left vacant after the counseling through GATE will be filled through the entrance test.

The candidates must hold agraduation degree in the concerned disciplines with minimum 50% marks. The test will be held offline mode. PGET is scheduled to be held on June 8.

Application forms can be filled both offline and online mode. The fee for applying for theM.Tech course is Rs.1200/-.

• For Computer Science & Engineering with specialization in Technology & Entrepreneurship, theuniversity will conduct Personal Interviews.
• Candidates will have to submit a write up along with the application forms of not more than 2 pages, highlighting their strengths, prior experience in research, their future career plans and justification why he/she considers himself/ herself suitable for the course.

JIIT Integrated Courses Admission 2020

JIIT offers 5 years integrated courses under 3 disciplines. Admissions are based upon candidate’s rank in JEE Mains. The seats which will be left vacant after the counseling of JEE will be filled through the merit-based counseling.

The candidates who take admissions of the course will be awarded dual degree (B.Tech and M.Tech) by the university. Counseling will be held at theNational level.

Candidates can either apply through the forms available at university website or can avail the forms from JIIT, Noida. The application fee for each course is Rs. 1200/-.

• Counseling for JU, Anoopsar and JUET, Guna under a10+2merit-based will be held at JIIT, Noida.
• For Biotechnology 50% seats will be allotted through JEE Mains and the rest 50% will be allotted on 10+2 merit basis.
• 10% seats at JUIT Waknaghat will be reserved for the students of Himachal Pradesh.

• JIITU Internships: The Training and Placement Cell is constantly collaborating with the industry to train its students according to the current industry standards. As per the University's Academic Programme, the students have to go through summer internships after the completion of the 3rd year.
